Thanks so much both of you :) I already have GIMP and never used it ;) lol Now I will fall in love with it, just from reading some of those links, Drew. I really appreciate it. I usually straighten my horizons during the final processing for my clients; but I always end up cropping and recropping to get it right to my eyes. All the best.

Hey Eric, I’m not talking about lens correction, just rotating the image so its horizontal – that may mean, with a fish eye that each end of the horizon is lower than the middle, but each end should be the same distance from the top of the frame. e.g. the Fisherman – there’s no fisheye [...]

    Thanks Ben.

How is the best way (or easiest) way to straighten horizons distorted by a fisheye? I do not have a working copy of cs2 nor 3 :(

Great stuff in there Eric, and good to see you on STI!

My only thing (and this is real pet peeve of mine) is to straighten those horizons. The fisherman and sunset shots would instantly improve 200% with that one tweak.

    Hiya :)

Just back from traveling for about three months throughout the islands and I will be uploading some of the amazing scenery I found in a little while. In the interim, here are a few I did on the last few trips. All the best. Eric

Time? Are you kidding me? That’s the first time I’ve shot for ’me’ in months. Seriously! I work 60hrs a week for Thyme, then, if I have a wedding, 20hrs on a weekend. Any time I have left is reserved for hanging with the family.

Just stopped @ Go Slow Bend to snap a shot a of the sunset, just wondering what you guys thought about critique/improvements/things to do different next time.

Would love to hear your thoughts on this one.
I still need to know how to manipulate not only my camera settings
but also the editing software (changed now from Lightroom to Aperture 3: thanks for the heads-up, Ben).

    Here are the specifics:
    ISO 200, 80mm, F/6.3, 1/640 & about 2 glasses of wine.
