Lighting: 1 year, 3 months ago · ViewHi all,
I was cleaning out my garage today and found two Bowens 500ws Prolite 82 monolights.
Just the heads in a hard case. Fully working and tested.
$200 (way way too cheap, but hey, I’m nice like that!)
Ben

Lighting: 1 year, 8 months ago · ViewWell i guess when you can’t find help I often study and experiment with different techniques. I’m now proficient in using off camera flash. I’ve been working with two Nikon SB600 off camera with the Nikon D90 CLS. Its been interesting and I have developed a good work flow for a two light setup and sometimes a reflector. I’ve particularly become fond of night shoots, it completely keeps the background dark and black while bringing focus to the subject or i can use the reflector as a third light and use one flash to light the background. Awesome stuff I like it a lot and having a whole lot of fun.

Lighting: 1 year, 9 months ago · ViewLooking for some advice on using multiple flash off camera. Ive recently been using the Nikon cls to set different moods with my lighting. Is there any advice on using multiple strobes off camera.
My technique that i use so far is to meter for the the background using the zone system and use the flash as a fill on my subject. It creates a rich saturated look for the background while illuminating the subject. Its a tricky process that i have yet to perfect, but i guess with time i will discover what works best.
Does anyone else have any other suggestions for tried and proven techniques.
